FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What is the difference between Standard & VIP badges?

STANDARD badges get you access to all sessions except for VIP sessions. Unlike a typical "Con" there are no fees for additional things during the Con. Things like meet & greets, book signings, etc. are all included. The only things that a STANDARD badge will not get you in to are VIP-only events. This includes most food and beverage based sessions, like dinners, plus some programming.  You can read more about GOLD and PLATINUM VIP packages.

  • Do I need to register for sessions that I want to attend?

With very few exceptions, NO! Our format is first come, first served and you will map out your own path through the weekend. The only exceptions to this are things where we clearly indicate on the schedule that pre-registration is required. That is pretty rare and usually only applies to VIP or food/bev related events.

  • Do you offer single day passes?

At this time, no but we may release Single Day Passes as we get closer to the Con.

Note that Single Day Passes exclude VIP-only events.

  • When do you announce speakers and podcasts?

We'll begin releasing guest and pod names a few months prior and make announcements in batches all the way up through the event. We like to ensure there's a little mystery!

The good news is that you can look at our complete guest rosters from all past Cons and be assured the schedule will be amazing!

  • When do you announce the full weekend schedule?

The official CrimeCon 2024 schedule is HERE!

  • Does the ticket price include accommodations and meals?

No, meals and hotel are not included in the ticket price. We do have a discounted rate at our host hotel: Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center.

  • Do I have to stay at the host hotel?

No, but you'll miss all of the amazing things that happen in the hallways,  bars, elevators, and restaurants if you don't! We like to say that only 75% of the CrimeCon experience can be planned in advance because it happens in the ballrooms, but the other 25% is about all of the impromptu moments that happen in the hotel. Don't miss out! After surveying attendees from previous years it's  clear: staying at the host hotel is extremely important to the overall CC experience!

  • For the sake of booking travel, what time can I expect CrimeCon to start and end?

The convention will officially begin around 12pm on Friday, May 31st and end by 3:00pm on Sunday, June 2nd. It is possible that separately ticketed events could be added on Thursday evening and/or prior to the start time on Friday and/or after the end time on Sunday. We certainly encourage you to add time on both sides of your trip to get the full Nashville experience!

  • When will I receive my badge(s)?

Badges are picked up onsite during registration and will NOT be mailed out prior. To pick up your badge, please bring a copy of a valid photo ID. A confirmation email is also great, but is not required.

  • What about airport transportation?

There are various options for transportation to and from Nashville International Airport including taxis, limos, ride share and shuttle services.

  • Will there be Livestream tickets available?

We'll make a decision about Livestream when we get closer to the Con so stay tuned for an announcement via email and on this landing page!

  • Can I cancel or change my tickets?

No cash refunds are permitted under any circumstance, but if you can no longer attend there are two options: a) A badge transfer to another person; or b) Receive a voucher code for 100% of the amount paid, which can be used against any future CrimeCon event within five (5) years after issuance.

ALL REQUESTS TO TRANSFER OR CANCEL A BADGE MUST BE MADE NO LATER THAN 72 HOUR PRIOR TO THE START OF THE EVENT. UNFORTUNATELY WE ARE UNABLE TO HONOR ANY EXCEPTIONS.

Please read the full Terms & Conditions on the registration page for all the details.

  • What is the dress code?

The dress code for the CrimeCon is respectful casual. (Evening events may have different dress codes as indicated on the registration pages for those events.)

Our event is attended by a diverse range of people, including industry professionals, law enforcement, consumers, and victims (as well as their friends and families). As you consider what to wear, think carefully about being respectful and "when in doubt, leave it out." One thought experiment: if you are alone in an elevator with the victim of a violent crime, would you feel awkward about what you’re wearing?

Cosplay (or dressing up in theme or as a character) is strictly prohibited.

CrimeCon organizers are the sole decision-makers on whether something crosses a line. If you have any questions on what may or may not be allowed inside the space please email us in advance to discuss. Thank you for helping us create an environment of support, love, and respect.

  • Do you offer discounts for groups, students, law enforcement or military?

We do offer discounts on Standard tickets (no VIP) for groups, students, teachers, healthcare workers, law enforcement & military personnel. Please fill out this form if you qualify for more information. You may be asked to provide appropriate credentials upon badge pick-up on site. Note that the On Site and Early Bird tiers of tickets do not qualify for discounts.

  • What should I bring to CrimeCon?

In order to pick up your badge, please bring a copy of a valid photo ID.

We also suggest you pack comfortable shoes, a sweatshirt or sweater, snacks (food can be hard to come by during the weekend and the schedule is packed), a notebook, and a reusable water bottle.

  • Can I volunteer?

Yes, please! CrimeCon wouldn't be possible without our volunteers. If you want a less expensive way in, this is it. We'll trade work for badges--just fill out THIS FORM and we'll be in touch.

Note: We typically don't know our volunteer needs until 60-90 days prior to the event. Therefore we recommend that you purchase a badge early for best pricing and availability. If you are subsequently selected to volunteer we will refund your purchase in full (Standard badges only).

  • Do you offer Media Credentials?

Please fill out our media form to be entered into our database.

  • I'm a true crime content creator and I'd like to be at CrimeCon.

Part of our mission is to help fans discover a bunch of new content and creators to add to the watching, listening, and reading portfolio.

Podcasters & Creators: We select a limited number of creators each year to be featured in the event. Please fill out our Creators Form to be put on the list for consideration.

  • Can I be a speaker at CrimeCon?

We'd love to talk and hear more about your experiences. Please fill out our guest inquiry form and select the event(s) you are interested in. Our producers will be in touch if we see a fit.

We have a discounted self-parking rate of $25 per night from 5/30/24-6/3/24 for attendees.

  • Will there be recorded videos of CC sessions available to watch after the Con?
